We are currently considering creating Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for the EMEA region. As a member of HIMSS you are invited to participate in these SIGs and you may decide which topic you would like to par by casting you vote in this Instant Poll
If you would like to participate in, or start a Special Interest Group, please send an e-mail to emea@himss.org.
Your proposed topic will be added to our online Instant Poll. Areas of interest that receive more than 25 subscribers will qualify to start a new SIGs. Discussions will start online and we will have our first face-to-face SIG meeting in Vienna @ the World of Health IT.
We hope you will enjoy participating in the EMEA SIGs.
Although we want to encourage English as the main language of communication to keep our forums accessible to participants worldwide, there are possibilities to address (sub-) regional topics, and create language-specific groups.
By participating in a HIMSS Special Interest Group (SIG), members can share information, viewpoints and experiences. SIGs offer unique collaboration opportunities among peers.
Already, many interest groups in North America include members from Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
As a member you can start a Special Interest Group (SIG) with peers sharing a passion on the same topic. SIGs can be a useful addition to your professional development.
Each SIG organises at least one meeting per year (in EMEA this will be at the World of Health IT Conference and Exhibition) and one webinar. HIMSS staff will help you to organise your group.
